There was more great news for AFC Bournemouth this week as Jason Pearce extended his contract at the club.
The central defender wants to be a part is the resurgence of the club and signed the deal without any hesitation, "I never had any second thoughts about signing the deal and the stability is great for me. I'm also looking to moving closer to Bournemouth which will help me out a lot. I feel that the club is going forward and I want to be part of that and my aim is now t get in the team and push forward again.
I've been through so much since I joined the club and to be back in League 1 this quickly is unbelievable. We've done it though, so that is credit to everyone at the club and now we have to stabilise and look to move forward.
We have a good core of the side here who have been through so much and I think it helps that we have had the majority of the squad together through a difficult period. We have been through the highs and lows together and we have stuck together.
We have had 18 months of success and expectations will naturally be high and we have to live with that. First and foremost we have to stay in the league and that's the main ting. We have brought in some quality new players to enhance the squad and I believe we can have a really good go. We have to keep both feet on the ground and take each game as it comes like we did last season."
