Another result went the Cherries way last night as Rotherham lost 2-1 at Accrington. Rotherham still have one game in hand on Bournemouth, but can no longer go above us if they win. A few weeks ago, many teams had games in hand over the Cherries and if they had all won, we would now be in the play off places, but as manager Eddie Howe has always said, he'd rather have the points in the bag than games in hand.
The Cherries boss paid a passing interest in the results on Saturday and last night, and they all made the point at Notts County even bigger and said, "Obviously I'm interested in the other results. I wouldn't be human if I didn't! I'm not too fussed about what happens elsewhere though and I'm not praying for certain results. All we can do is to make sure we do our bit and if we do that, then we won't have to care what the other results are. There is still quite a way to go with ten games left and there are going to be a lot of twists and turns between now and the end of the season and I believe it will go down to the wire."
