Despite what has has been a brilliant season against all the odds, the Cherries have been constantly written off and the news of a lay off for Jason Pearce and the fitness of Liam Feeney once again provoked comments that the side do not have the strength to continue their promotion challenge. Comments made prior to Saturday's game once again failed to recognise just what an unbelievable job that this Cherries side have done this season, and manager Eddie Howe told www.afcb.co.uk that the side draw strength from such opinions.
Eddie said, "Everybody is entitled to their opinions and everyone has their right to express them. We draw strength and inspiration from it. We have heard many comments from people, Bournemouth supporters and people associated with other clubs and it does motivate us and makes us even more determined to be successful and to ram those words down their throats and prove the doubters wrong.
Throughout your career in football, you are constantly battling to prove people wrong. People are very quick to doubt you and write you off, thats the nature of the business. It's only very much a minority and the vast majority here have been fantastic all season. Those doubters though can go back to their keyboards and say what they want, but we answered them on Saturday and we have continued to answer them week in and week out. Who knows what the future holds but we will do our best."
