Cherries keeper Shwan Jalal has signed a new two year deal at AFC Bournemouth. The shot stopper, who kept a clean sheet on Saturday against a former loan club Morecambe, was delighted to secure his future and told www.afcb.co.uk, "Eddie and the club told me they wanted me to stay and I was delighted and I can't say thank you enough for the board, Neill Blake and Eddie for sitting down and sorting it all out.
I'm pleased with my form and it's great that I have been rewarded with this. With Eddie though he always strives to be better and he has told me that it's time to kick on even further and I'm looking forward to spending at least another couple of years at Bournemouth and progressing with the club and that we continue to get the results that we deserve.

My immediate aims are to keep as many clean sheets from now until the end of the season and I was obviously pleased to get one against Morecambe. The more we can get the better and defensively we have been strong, but we can't afford to rest on our laurels. We must keep demanding more of ourselves and keeping to the high standards that we have set."
Cherries manager Eddie Howe added, "Shwan has been a big part of our successful season so far and has been very consistent. He has improved with Neil Moss's coaching and guidance and he has shown a great deal of desire to become a better player. The way he has trained this season has been excellent and that has led to his good performances on the pitch.
We are trying to build a squad that will take this club forward over the next few years and stability is important. We all know each other very well and that can only help as the club moves forward together and we can all have a bright future together."
