It was a shattering blow on Saturday to lose 5-0 at Morecambe, with Ryan Garry taking the defeat badly. The central defender faced a long and quiet trip home. Ryan has spoken to www.afcb.co.uk and pulled no punches about the performance and knows the side must show a good reaction on Monday night;
"It was unacceptable on Saturday and a very frustrating day. Until I saw the DVD. I was so shell shocked that I couldn't remember all of their goals. It was generally not good enough, it's as simple as that. We now need to show character, because we didn't do that from the first minute on Saturday.
There were no positives to take from the game apart from Joe Partington when he came because I thought he did well. If we want to do anything this season, then we can never do anything like that again. It didn't help that we went down to ten men, but we'd already lost it by then. I didn't think it was a sending off though because he went for the ball, but it happened and we just had to get on with it.
We have been assessing what went wrong and will take things from there. We were all devastated. People talk about this team having character, and now is the time we have to show it.
I would have liked to have had the next game at 8 o'clock on Saturday night rather than next Monday. We play Notts County then and I think that's another team that we owe one to. People have used the weather as an excuse when they beat us in the FA Cup, but we didn't close them down and that is something we have to improve on.
The Morecambe game has gone now, we've lost and we have to get on with it. Thoughts are now on Monday and nothing else, it has to be that way. Notts County have had a few problems since they beat us last month and their manager has now gone, but that won't make any difference as they are a good team. We are too, but we have to prove it.".
