MORECAMBE v AFC BOURNEMOUTH

Posted on: Fri 11 Dec 2009

The Cherries make the 300 miles trip to Morecambe, looking to put an end to the Shrimpers impressive recent run that has seen them win their last six games.  For much of the season, they were just above the bottom not because of losing games, but because they recorded draw after draw.  They have now turned that in to wins and this is set to be a very tough match for the Cherries who are unbeaten in the last four away games.

Keeper Shwan Jalal failed a fitness test and the Cherries have managed to get in 19 year old Marek Stech on am initial seven day emergency loan.  The keeper has been training with the squad this week and is set to make his debut.  Anton Robinson returned to training and is hoping to be fit for the game.  The only other injury doubt aside from the longer term injuries is Sammy Igoe, who will have a late fitness test.

It is pay on the gate at Christie Park as the Cherries prepare for their second and last game at the Lancashire club, who are moving to a new ground next season.
