After burying the ghosts of the Rochdale result last Saturday, the Cherries travel to Bradford this weekend and captain Danny Hollands is urging the side to push on. The Cherries did the double over the Bantams last season with Hollands scoring the first goal at Valley Parade and he would like nothing more than to do that again.
Hollands is in confident mood before the long trip and believes that the squad is showing all the right attributes to sustain the challenge, "It's going to be a hard task going to Bradford, but it was a hard task last week playing at Chesterfield. They were unbeaten at home and the defeat for us the week before made it even more important for us to go there and put in a good performance. Although we didn't start the best, we felt we put in the good performance we wanted to. It was the first time this season that we have come from a goal behind to win a game and that is another statistic that we've broken.
The lads showed great character and deserved to go through to the next round. We are going to have to show the same character at Bradford because that is always a tough place to go. We want to get back to winning ways now in the league which is important. We had a point to prove at Chesterfield and now it's back to league action we want to keep proving that. After the Rochdale game, everyone was so low in fact all week it felt as if we'd been relegated, not just lost one game. We showed great character though.
We need to show the same character on Saturday. We have to be on the top of our game to get anything from the game. We have set a goal of getting the three points and also a week later at Macclesfield. We know how difficult it's going to be, but we go in with a good frame of mind and hopefully we can go and do the business again."
