Cherries Club Captain Danny Hollands has continued his rehabilitation and after a cameo role at Torquay, came through a busy 90 minutes on Monday against Forest Green Rovers in the Totesport.com Combination. With no strikers on the field for much of the game it was a good work out, but he knows that the work has to continue and is also fully aware that when he is fit, it will then be a hard job to get in the side!
Danny told www.afcb.co.uk; "It's a case of working hard now in reserve games and training to get to the levels where the lads are now. I was pleased with getting 90 minutes under my belt on Monday and now have to keep working hard in training and reserve games to get my levels up.
Even when I'm fully fit though, I know how difficult its going to be to get in to the first team. We may only have a small squad, but everyone who has come in has been fantastic and deserve their place and that's how it should be.
We have set high standards and we have to keep to them. The support has been fantastic and we want to repay that by giving consistently good performances, and staying where we are in the table. We all know what everyone has been through at this club and it is a great feeling to put a smile on peoples faces again. We're all looking forward to the Lincoln game on Saturday, and it would be fantastic to see a 6,000 crowd here. It has been a hard time at the club, but hopefully now we are turning the corner"
