BURY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH

Posted on: Fri 07 Aug 2009

The wait is almost over as the Cherries travel to Bury tomorrow.  We played as recently 28 March at Bury, with the hosts winning 1-0.  The last time we played the Shakers at home, Bournemouth ran out 2-0 winners.

Due to a cancellation, we have one space on the Travel Club Coach for the game.  Please call 01202 726338 as soon as possible to book this.

Gigg Lane

Jeff Goulding is doubtful after picking up a dead leg against Charlton last Saturday.  Danny Hollands has had a minor operation and misses out while Shaun Cooper is a long term injury absentee.

Marvin Bartley played in the last two friendlies and could be involved, while Scott Guyett and Alan Connell both were involved in training this week and although didn't play in any pre season matches, are set to have a place on the bench.

19 year old David Worrall is set to to rejoin the club on loan from West Bromwich Albion.  He left the club two years ago and last season had loan spells at Accrington and Shrewsbury.  Also coming in is midfielder Damien Allen from Stockport and Chester top scorer Ryan Lowe.  Lowe is set to take the place of Andy Bishop up front.  Bishop will miss the opening weeks of the season after an operation.  They have also signed Simon Johnson on a three month contract.

Bury celebrate their 125th anniversary and they launch a retro shirt at the game tomorrow.
