JASON TINDALL

Posted on: Sun 02 Aug 2009

Tomorrow sees the final pre season match as Charlton Athletic visit Dean Court (kick off 3.00).  Jason Tindall will be up against his the club he served as a youngster, and could well be involved somewhere in the 90 minutes as the transfer embargo continues to bite.

Although Jason knows it's not an ideal situation, he is more than ready to give his all, and feels that the opposition are ideal for the final match of pre season; "It's a good game for the final pre season match for us against a very good team.  It's a shame what's happened to Charlton in the past few years, but I'm sure they will come down with a good side and it will be a real test for us and we're looking forward to it.

So far, we've done OK in pre season.  Fitness is probably the most important thing and on that side of things, we're alright.  I've had to keep myself fit as with the embargo, I will have to be involved.  Eddie spoke to me about it and it's obviously not an ideal situation and a position we don't want to be in.  Circumstances though have dictated that we have to do that, and I have been joining in with training as there is a good possibility that I will be needed.  I want to make sure that if I am called upon, then I have a bit of fitness behind me.

We are only eight days away now from the first game of the season.  It comes around so quickly, but we're ready for the season to start.  It's important that we start the season well with everybody 100% fit and focussed on what we have to do.  Tomorrows game is the week before the season starts, so we will be looking at it as a dress rehearsal.  Once that game is over, the next one is Bury away with three points at stake and we want to make sure that we're the ones who come back from Gigg Lane with three points on the board.

Charlton will be a big test for us.  It's our last big game before the league starts, so we want to make sure we are focussed and ready and everyone is playing for their jersey's."

Ticket's for tomorrows game are on sale.  All areas except executive are Adults £10, Concessions £5.  Executive area Adults £15, Concessions £7.50.
