The Cherries recorded a 4-1 win at Dorchester, with Brett Pitman netting twice, trialist Steve Lovell scoring one and also setting up the other, an own goal.
The ten outfield players who started the game could well be with an eye on the start of the season, with Shwan Jalal rested.

Brett Pitman heads home the opening goal
Bournemouth looked bright from the off and took the lead on 9 minutes when Pitman headed home past former Cherries keeper Mark Ovendale.
At half time, Eddie Howe made a number of changes, one of those being his brother Lovell, and he scored the second goal to set up a flurry of goalscoring activity.

Steve Lovell makes it 2-0
The Magpies hit back almost immediately, but any home of a comeback were dashed when Bournemouth went up the other end and Sammy Igoe sent in a superb cross for Lovell to head goalwards. The ball bounced back off the post on to a defenders foot to make it 3-1. Moments later it was four as Pitman scored his second of the night with a cracking drive from 25 yards.
More changes were made, the most significant fr Bournemouth being the introduction of Marvin Bartley for his first taste of pre season action.
