Danny Hollands has been named as team captain at AFC Bournemouth.

Danny took the role at the end of last season when Shaun Cooper was injured and with Cooper sidelined for up to six months, he was handed the captains armband.

Hollands joined the club in 2006 from Chelsea and also served Torquay on loan whilst at Stamford Bridge.  He has gone on to become one of the most consistent performers in a Cherries shirt and was Player of the Year in the 2007-08 season.
