BBC Sport today announced the first four live and exclusive Coca-Cola Championship games to be broadcast during the forthcoming 2009/10 season.

The games mark a return of live Championship football for the first time since 1987 and will also be broadcast live at BBC Sport Online.

Live games:

• Sat 8^th August - West Bromwich Albion v Newcastle United - BBC1 5.30pm

• Sat 26^th Sept - Ipswich Town v Newcastle United - 5.30pm (Channel TBC)

• Sat 24^th Oct - Derby County v Queens Park Rangers - BBC2 5.30 pm

• Sun 1^st Nov - Cardiff City v Nottingham Forest - BBC1 2.00 pm.
