Jason Tindall

Posted on: Wed 29 Apr 2009

This Saturday, the Cherries finish off a dramatic season with a trip to Morecambe, and it's a game that assistant manager Jason Tindall is looking forward to.  There maybe no pressure for the first time this season, but he insists the side are looking to finish the season on a high.  Jason is still glowing after Saturday's win and heaped praise on the players and staff at the club;

"A few months back we looked dead and buried.  We had a hell of a lot of ground to make up, but in the last few months, the character and the work ethic that everybody has put in has been fantastic.  That's not just the players, because every good team needs a good backroom staff and right the way through from Mike Dowding the kit man, Steve Hard the physio, the office staff, the staff have been terrific in very difficult circumstances.  They couldn't have given any more than they have this this season.

For the lads, to win the game last Saturday in front of our supporters in the way we did, we couldn't have asked for more.  It has been a dream come true because many people doubted that we would see a day like Saturday.  We have though and it was just unbelievable.

I felt that despite the pressure of everything that surrounded the game, we played well.  In the first half we played well, made some good chances and were unlucky to come in at half time a goal down.  We knew the second half would be difficult, but we upped the tempo, and got the early goal.  When the second one went it, it was absolutely amazing and you couldn't have written the script any better with the big man on the end of it.

We now travel to Morecambe with no pressure on us, which is a pretty unique experience!  If any one thinks we are going to relax there, then that couldn't be further from the truth.  We are going there to win.  We know we can still climb the league and we want to finish as high as we can.  I know we have a good number of supporters going up, so we want to win for them and finish the season on a high."
