The Cherries travelled to Adams Park to face an unbeaten beaten Wycombe side.
Jimmy Quinn's side visited second in League Two Wycombe with confidence high after two consecutive 3-1 wins against Bradford and Darlington.
With a strong away following in good voice the Cherries started brightly against Wycombe who were only behind leaders Bury in League Two on goal difference.
Darren Anderton came close for the Cherries with a volley that went wide of 'keeper Scott Shearers goal.
The home team were again under pressure from Bournemouth when Warren Cummings went close to opening the scoring from a free kick. Cummings floated a long range free kick into the area, evading everyone, Wycombe goalkeeper Shearer was forced to back peddle and tip the ball over his bar.
Lone striker Jeff Goulding was marshalled by the well organised Wycombe defence as the Cherries found chances hard to find late on in the second half and it was Wycombe who pushed on toward half time.
After building pressure, Wycombe broke the deadlock through striker Matt Harrold. Craig Woodman's shot was deflected into Harrold's path who had time to bide his time and place a side footed shot into the bottom corner from seven yards out.
Wycombe went into the interval one up but Bournemouth started the second half as they did the first creating chances against the well marshalled home defence.
On 57 minutes Shaun Cooper played a clever ball into space for Warren Cummings whose first touch instantly controlled the ball, he advanced down the left into the box and superbly cut the ball back to Danny Hollands who smashed the ball into the net from eight yards.
But Bournemouth weren't level for long, three minutes later as confusion hit the Cherries defence, Jalal spilled the ball allowing the ball to be bundled behind the line by Chris Zebroski for Wycombe to regain the lead.
Subsitute Brett Pitman looked to of made an almost instant impact as he burst into the Wycombe box and was hauled down, appealing for a penalty referee Stuart Attwell booked Pitman for diving.
Two minutes later a clever worked Wycombe free kick was headed across goal, Jalal failed to fully clear the ball which gave sub Scott McGleish the chance to nod the ball home increasing the home sides advantage and securing all three points for Peter Taylor's side.
