AFC Bournemouth 4-1 Cheltenham Town

A Cherries reserve side saw off a strong Cheltenham Town second string 4-1 this afternoon at Dean Court.

Joe Roach named a side which included assistant manager Jason Tindall, on loan Liverpool striker Craig Lindfield and Brett Pitman.

Craig Lindfield opened the goal scoring after just six minutes only to see Cheltenham equalise just four minutes later.

Trevor Benjamin put the Cherries back in front after half an hour as they went into the break 2-1 up.

Brett Pitman put the game to rest in the second with two goals in quick succession, scoring his first on 71 minutes and his second just two minutes later on 73 minutes.

Coach Joe Roach was pleased with his side's performance ''The result definitely reflected the side's performance and the player's attitudes were great and they just got better throughout the game.''
