Posted on: Sat 20 Sep 2008

The Cherries secured their first league win of the season on Saturday against early league pace setters Bradford City.

Scott Guyett was named in the first eleven, alongside Jason Pearce and Shaun Cooper in defence, as manager Jimmy Quinn selected a side with a 3-5-2 formation.

Danny Hollands opened the scoring six minutes from the break to put the Cherries one up against City, who going into the game sat top of the League Two table with an unbeaten league record this season.

Although the celebrations were to be short lived as Bradford equalised through Joe Colbeck just four minutes after Hollands' opener.

After the restart it didn't take the Cherries long to regain the lead as on 54 minutes Jeff Goulding netted his first league goal for the club after he converted from a Marvin Bartley cross.
