Players Beaten At Their Own Game

Posted on: Tue 09 Sep 2008

Last week saw the Junior Cherries take on the AFC Bournemouth players at their own game, at Game Stadium in Bournemouth town centre. Junior Cherries battled it out against the likes of Jason Pearce, Marvin Bartley, Josh McQuoid and Joe Partington at FIFA 2008 and PES 2008 on one of the 52 Playstation 3s at Game Stadium.

Marvin Bartley proved to be the surprise package of the afternoon remaining unbeaten at PES 2008, as well as providing his own unique commentary. The afternoon proved a great success and if the players can duplicate their Playstation 3 form on the pitch, it will not be long before we start climbing the table.

Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting Junior Cherries trips throughout the season, including one to Wembley Stadium during October half term. Don't forget that there will be a special Junior Cherries away trip to Wycombe on Saturday 4th October, more details of which will be available soon.

Don't forget that the Cherry Tree will be open again on Saturday from 1pm for our home game against Macclesfield Town. There will be a wide variety of games for kids to play, the opportunity to pick up your loyalty passport stickers, as well as grab something to eat from the tuck shop or new burger basket. In addition, there will be information available about the new junior supporters club and an exciting new venture for our young supporters!
