Youth Focused On Successful Campaign - Under 18s prepared for hard working season

Head of Youth Joe Roach is looking forward to another positive season for the youth team following a successful pre-season campaign.

The lads have been put through their paces like never before and started the league action with a 2-2 draw against Yeovil Town with Danny Ings and Carl Preston on the scoresheet.

Roach believes the tough pre-season has taught the lads a lot about what they need to improve and he is looking forward to seeing the lads develop as the season progresses.

Roach said, "Normally we do quite well in pre-season, but this is the hardest one we've had and in each game we've got a good return from the lads, been organised and gained a lot from the matches. We've performed well against top academy sides and the team are fully focused on what they need to do."
