Striker Lindfield Signs On Loan - Liverpool ace joins until 2009
Liverpool striker Craig Lindfield has signed for AFC Bournemouth on a loan deal lasting until the end of December.
The striker signed on Friday afternoon in time to be available for tomorrow's League Two clash against Exeter City.
Lindfield comes highly rated having represented England at Under 19 level and played a significant goalscoring role as Liverpool won the FA Youth Cup in 2006 and 2007.
Lindfield also has experience of League Two level having spent loan spells with Notts County and Chester City. Cherries Manager Kevin Bond believes his first experience of League football will have made him a better player for his time with Bournemouth.
Bond said, "He's been out on loan before and sometimes they're an awful lot better with some experience. I remember David McGoldrick had a terrible time at Notts County, but I knew he was better than that and he found it a piece of cake second time around.
"Craig has come through the ranks at Liverpool and is highly regarded. He's scored a lot of goals and they are looking for an opportunity to get him some games.
"This provides an ideal opportunity for him and I think it's a good signing for us too. He's here until the end of the year and is ready to perform this level and he's very keen to come and show us what he can do and I'm glad to have him."
