Wagstaff Signed In Time For Exeter

Posted on: Thu 21 Aug 2008

AFC Bournemouth this afternoon completed the loan signing of Scott Wagstaff from Charlton Athletic.

The Maidstone born winger has initially signed for one month and could make his debut against Exeter City on Saturday. Wagstaff takes squad number eleven and has signed until September 20th.

The eighteen-year-old made two substitute appearances in The Championship last season for Charlton Athletic and made his full debut this season against Yeovil in the League Cup.

Speaking about his latest signing, Boss Kevin Bond says Wagstaff adds a new dimension to the squad. Bond said, "He's got a bit of pace about him and plenty of energy.

"He has a good work ethic and he'll give us an option out wide as somebody who can take the game to the opposition. And naturally he's quite a wide player which is something we don't currently have."
