The Community Sports Trust team have been working in partnership with the local police force during the summer holidays, every Thursday at the Sir David English Sports Centre football session have been organised between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm.

Over 30 young people have turned up every week to receive the coaching from area coach Russell Beardsmore.

PC Steve Shires and other members of the police help with the coaching which has been well received with sessions covering all the basic skills including passing, turning, shooting etc with fun games, penalty competitions and tournaments organised.

Steve Cuss, Head of Community Sports Trust said "The project organised through PC Steve Shires has been a huge success and has enabled many young people to receive coaching from AFC Bournemouth and hopefully we can continue the project during future school holidays".
