Cherries Vs Gillingham Team News - Squad in 'fine fettle' for season curtain rasier

Cherries go into the start of the 2008/2009 season with just one player on the treatment table.

Danny Hollands will be out until September having undergone knee surgery last week, but a clutch of other players have overcome knocks and return to training.

Joe Partington (hip), Ryan Garry (ITB) and Warren Cummings (virus) are all available having come through training this week. Jo Kuffour is also in the frame having recovered from hernia surgery.

Cherries are also hoping to tie up a season long loan deal with Portsmouth defender Joel Ward. The Cherries are currently waiting final confirmation from Portsmouth on the move.

Manager Kevin Bond said, "We're all set and the lads are looking forward to it. Everyone apart from Danny Hollands is in fine fettle so Saturday can't come quick enough for us."

Bournemouth Council has closed the main access to Kings Park for the remainder of the week due to traveler movement. It will however be open for Saturday's match.

Fans wishing to collect Season Tickets or visit the club on Thursday and Friday are advised to use the height restricted entrance at Gloucester Road.
