Cherries Ready For Robins Test - AFC Bournemouth Vs Bristol City 26/7/08 3.00pm

Cherries take on Bristol City tomorrow as the squad continue their build up to the start of the season. Three more trialists will play their first pre-season game for the club in what coach Eddie Howe has dubbed 'another good test'.

Portsmouth duo Matt Richie (midfield) and Joel Ward (centre half) will stake their claim to impress having played against the Cherries in midweek. Chester City midfielder Paul Rutherford is also set to feature.

Eddie Howe said, "I thought we did well against a very good side so that should put us in good stead. The movement of Crouch and Defoe was a lesson for our young defenders and there are plenty of positives we can build on for the Bristol City match.

"They had an exceptional season last year and will be looking to go one better this season and reach the Premier League. That's what they'll be gearing up for so it will be another good test for our lads.

"We've still got a few weeks of the season to get the team playing exactly as we'd like and tomorrow's game can only help us achieve that. We're short on bodies, but there are plenty of positives from the ones that are here and the trialists will have another chance to impress tomorrow."

Tickets are on sale right until kick-off priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
