Congratulations Sam Vokes - Departing striker makes full International bow

Home grown striker Sam Vokes made his debut for the Wales senior side last night in a 1-0 victory against Iceland.

Vokes came on as a substitute minutes into the second half replacing Freddie Eastwood. Ched Evans netted the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time.

There were three products of Cherries youth development in the initial squad for the countries two friendly fixtures. Brian Stock withdrew suffering from a back injury while Carl Fletcher became Wales' 43rd post war captain.

Vokes is also in the squad for Sunday's match in Rotterdam against Holland.
