It All Comes Down To This - Bond "We haven't achieved anything yet"

Cherries Manager Kevin Bond says all he requires on Saturday is for the players is to perform with the heart and desire they've done for the last two months.

The Manager has tried to quell inevitable hype by suggesting the team have not achieved anything yet and whatever the result, a solid performance is all he can ask of them.

The team are confident of getting a result in Carlisle, but even then Cherries fate would be decided elsewhere. Bond is refusing to get carried away with the team's recent form and aiming to keep the focus going into the final match.

Previewing the game Bond said, "The players are all looking forward to the game as we didn't believe it was possible to reach this stage with a mathematical opportunity to stay up. It's an opportunity we really don't want to miss.

"We've worked ourselves into the position where we've given ourselves a chance and that is all we've done. We haven't done anything; we've just given ourselves a chance of doing something. If we start thinking about what this could be it won't happen

"Regardless of how well we do it's still not in our own hands. We're reliant on others giving a helping hand, but we can only effect what we do.

"If we start looking elsewhere we're liable to take our eye off the ball and get beaten ourselves. We're not expecting any favours from anyone so all we can do is help ourselves the best we can and hope for other results to go our way.

"Carlisle have one of the best home records in the country so I don't think we could have picked a much more difficult game. They were disappointed to have been beaten last week and they'll want to put that right in front of their fans with a chance of automatic promotion.

"It will be a difficult game, but football has a funny way of throwing up these situations and it's not always easy to see which side is fighting for promotion and which side is fighting relegation.

"It's been a really difficult time for us and it's been brilliant how the players have remained focused. We had a few days together for the away matches at Leeds and Oldham and it was deflating to lose both games. Coming back from that trip with nothing was difficult, but they didn't give up and slowly but surely we've out some results together.

"In amongst all this the players we know can play have shown their form and one or two of the youngsters have improved enormously and that's got to be great for the club. If the players go out and perform as they have done in the last few months, win lose or draw I can't ask any more from any of them."
