Josh & Russ In Contention - Defensive duo come through reserves test

Central defensive pair Josh Gowling and Russell Perrett look set to declare themselves available for Saturday's away match at Millwall.

Gowling played a half in the reserves against Bristol Rovers yesterday and Perrett was given a fifty-eight minute run-out. Former Luton man Perrett suffered a tight calf, but was only taken off as a precaution with Saturday in mind.

Reserve team Manager Eddie Howe said, "It was difficult with the mixture of youth teamers, trialists and Rob. I thought we didn't do too well first half and were 1-0 up and played better in the second but lost 2-1 so it's funny how it happens like that sometimes.

It was good good to see Russ back after his hamstring. The game will do him the world of good. His calf was tight was more of a precaution. We've missed both of them and they're both big players for us. They'll train Thursday with the view of being available Saturday."
