Bond Adding Attacking Dimension - Cherries focused on improving goals tally

Cherries Manager Kevin Bond has said the team have been working hard on increasing their attacking options. Cherries entertain Northampton tomorrow having failed to score in both home League One games to date.

But Bond is refusing to let the strikers take the stick and says the team have a collective responsibility to create chances and improve options in the final third.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's home match against Northampton Bond said, "We've spoken about the collective responsibility of the team to score goals because we've had periods where we've dominated games and we've got to score during these periods. If we don't it'll come back and bite us like it has done at times this season.

"You can't just pin it on the strikers. There are lots of things that make up the possibility of scoring a goal. People have got to be prepared to get into the box and people have got to be prepared to make a good delivery.

"We've tried working on it this week and get more people into the box. It is frustrating that teams have managed to find the back o the net against us at important times yet we haven't managed to do it to them.

"Northampton have had similar results to us and have had a couple of decent results of late. They'll provide a tough test and will be coming here hoping to put us under pressure. We've got to cope with that and give them one or two problems of our own.

"I know Stuart Gray well, he's a smashing guy and a real football man. He came into Northampton not long after I came into Bournemouth so he's in a similar position to me.

"They were in a spot of bother and he steered them clear of the relegation zone and trying to build his own mark at Northampton just like I am here at Bournemouth."
