Bond Up For Orient Challenge - Boss hoping for more of the same
Cherries have picked up four points from promotion favourites Nottingham Forest and Doncaster Rovers in two away matches. Tomorrow Bond is hoping to derail the Orient express from top spot in the League One table.
Like Cherries, Orient have made numerous changes throughout the summer and the new faces are vying for defensive places ahead of tomorrow's clash.
Speaking about the game Bond said, "I didn't know whether it was too early for Russell Perrett or not [on Tuesday against Walsall] as he hadn't played a game of any description since Bristol City. I made a decision to give him his chance because of his experience and I thought he was excellent and dominating in the air.
"In our first few games our central defenders have probably been our strongest area on the field. It's given me a nice problem if you like in who to play on Saturday. It's a nice situation where if we have someone out we can bring someone in of the same quality.
"They'll be a good footballing side just like Martin Ling was as a player. They've bought a few players over the summer who have seemed to gel together quickly. Their two front men will be a threat for anyone and Thornton from Doncaster has been very influential.
"They've got off to a cracking start, have hit the ground running and they'll approach the game full of confidence. Having said that I'm sure they won't take us lightly as we've had excellent results and good performances away from home. Hopefully they'll treat us with a bit of respect and know we're a resilient team."
