Vale snap up McGoldrick

Port Vale have signed former Cherries loanee David McGoldrick from Southampton. The striker joins the Burslem outfit on loan until the new year and is available for tomorrow's Dean Court clash.

Vale Manager Martin Foyle said, "I'm delighted to get him. He has pace and he is exactly what we need right now."

The Valiants sold top striker Akpo Sodje to Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the week and Manager Foyle moved quickly to fill the void left by the striker.
