Youth Start Season With Win - Pay back time at Exeter
Joe Roach's youth team started the season in emphatic fashion at the weekend. A 4-1 thumping of Exeter City reversed the score from the FA CUp fixture last season and set the Under 18s on their way.
Steven Hutchings scored the first of a brace moments before half time as Cherries started the season full of promise and continued an impressive unbeaten run stretching back to last season.
Exeter equalised before Hucthing's notched the winner. Late goals from Northern Ireland Under 19 International Josh McQuoid (pictured) and Ricoh Wilson ensured Roach's side took back the points.
After the match Roach said, "It was nice to get the win after being beaten in the cup last year. I thought we were pretty comfortable and the pleasing thing was they took the week's work into the game.
That's not always the easiest thing to do and the strikers especially took on the information we worked with in the week. The whole team has done really well in pre-season and now we have a good result on the league to build and improve on."
