The Cherries picked up an excellent point at Huddersfield, but it could have been all three after a superb first half showing, where they could have gone in to the break with a handsome lead.

Michael Symes and Stephen Purches were both ruled out.  Josh McQuoid and Rhoys Wiggins recovered to take their place in the side.

After weathering early pressure, the Cherries passing game was simply terrific.  With Huddersfield unable to cope with it for long periods, the crowd started to turn on the their own team.  The side had already come close after a corner caused all sort of problems, before they finally made their possession count with the opening goal on 33 minutes.  Marvin Bartley fed Josh McQuoid, and from the edge of the box, he fired home a powerful pinpoint drive.

Bournemouth continued to cause problems and almost made it two from a Liam Feeney cross, the ball finally reached McQuoid with real pace and he couldn't direct the ball home.  He was left to rue that miss as in time added on in the first half, Anthony Kay headed the hosts level when he rose virtually unchecked from a corner.

After the break, the tide was turned totally as Huddersfield found themselves in the lead.  Bartley was adjudged to have committed a foul on Gary Roberts in the box and Roberts picked himself to send Shwan Jalal the wrong way.

This started a spell of Town pressure and Alan Lee came close to putting the game to bed when he hit a post.  Bournemouth though gradually got themselves back in to the game and finally equalised when subsitute Harry Arter picked out the run of Marc Pugh to head home to send the 304 Cherries supporters wild.

It was a tense finale for Bournemouth as Lee Novak almost grabbed a late winner, but Jalal pulled off a brilliant save to ensure the side came home with a point.
