The Cherries have made it three wins in a row thanks to Jason Pearce's second half headed goal. The Cherries started with the same side that beat Rotherham on Saturday and edged a keenly contested local derby. Both sides played good football, but it was the one moment of cutting edge that gave Bournemouth the all important three points.

In a tense opening, Bournemouth enjoyed the possession, but the pace of the Shots was always going to cause problems. The best of the early chances fell to Brett Pitman, who saw a powerful effort go over.
There was a scare on 34 minutes when the Shots had the ball in the net. Marvin <orgam took the ball round Shwan Jalal, but the assistants flag had been long raised.

The Cherries made the perfect start to the second half with the decisive goal just three minutes after the restart. Brett Pitman played in an excellent free kick and Jason Pearce timed his run to perfection to get ahead of Chris Blackburn and head the ball home via the post.

Jason Pearce heads home the winning goal
This started a great spell for the Cherries, who started to play some excellent flowing football. Mark Molesley and Brett Pitman both had efforts blocked or saved as the side went in search of a killer second goal.
Liam Feeney also came close with a curling effort before the Shots threw everything forward in the closing stages. Molesley came close with four minutes left on the clock when his effort was saved. There was another worry for Ryan Garry late on as once again he got a blow to the head and had to be replaced.
There were a couple of scares bear the end, with Jalal grateful to pick up the ball at the second attempt after a scramble and then with the last kick of the game, the Cherries wall defended a free kick in a dangerous area and the final whistle went.
So three games this season, three wins and no goals conceded. Coupled with the end of last season, it's now six league wins on the trot with 15 goals scored and just one conceded. No one is getting carried away, but no one can deny this is brilliant form.
