Danny Hollands netted for the Cherries late in the game to secure three points for the Cherries to keep the side top of the league and to end a three match run without a win.
There was a surprise as Mark Molesley was restored to the starting line up, and he did superbly, lasting 80 minutes before cramp forced him off.
The game was a tight and tense affair, and it always looked as if one goal would settle it.

The first talking point was after a dreadful foul by Michael Symes on Warren Cummings. Symes received a yellow card, which could have easily been red. Home manager John Coleman though after the game said that Cummings wasn't touched and reacted angrily and was sent to the stand.
Brett Pitman looked dangerous for the Cherries and he saw his header go just over, whilst at the other end, Tommy Lees went closest for Stanley when he saw his header well saved by Shwan Jalal.
After the break, Bournemouth started brightly and took command of the game for long spells. Pitman went close with a free kick as the side exerted some pressure on the home defence. At the other end, Jalal did well to block a Symes effort and Stanley also had strong penalty appeals turned down.

The breakthrough finally came on 76 minutes. Warren Cummings free kick was glanced home by Hollands to send the 200 or so Cherries supporters in to ecstasy. Pitman should have made it two when he had a free header, but sent his effort wide. Stanley threw everything at the Cherries in the dying minutes and earned a free kick on the edge of the box. Ryans effort deflected off Cummings, but Jalal pulled off a magnificent save to earn three points for Bournemouth.
