Crewe Alexandra 1-4 AFC Bournemouth - Cherries back on track against Railwaymen
Cherries bounced back in fine form this afternoon with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Crewe Alexandra. Jo Kuffour and Sam Vokes had already been on the end of chances when Lee Bradbury gave Cherries the lead.
Following a Neil Moss save at the other end from Steven Schumacher, Bradbury made no mistake when heading in a Danny Hollands cross for his sixth goal of the season.
On his return to the starting XI, Sam Vokes was instrumental in Cherries revival in fortunes and was unlucky not to score moments into the second half. Bradbury then had an effort saved as it was the away side doing all the pressing.
And that dominance eventually reaped a second goal. Max Gradel scored the first of two excellent goals to set Cherries on their way. With the lead at 2-0 the game was looking safe and Crewe were offering little in attack.
Anderton added a fourth pouncing onto the rebound when Kuffour's goal attempt came back off the woodwork. Substitute Shaun Miller grabbed a late consolation for Crewe and a fingtertip save at the death from Moss denied Steve Schumacher a goal.
Final Score: Crewe Alexandra 1-4 AFC Bournemouth
