City were the Division's form team at home and Cherries have only won away once in 2006. City Manager Gary Johnson had branded the Christmas fixtures as 'comfortable', but found his side two goals behind thanks to strikes from Brett Pitman and City fan Marcus Browning.

Robins favourite Scott Murray pulled City back into the game before Lee Johnson's  deflected effort meant it was three successive away draws for Kevin Bond's Bournemouth.
