Cherries make nine changes from the team that travelled up to Chesterfield just eleven games ago.

Stock and Hayter are the only players starting today who started in the 3-2 April victory.

Cherries: Stewart, Young, Hart (Foley h/t), O'Connor, Gowling, Browning, Stock (Fletcher 70), Cooke, Surman, Hayter, Rodrigues.
Subs: Whisken, Hudson, Pitman.

Att: 3,530

Cherries started with a 4-4-2 formation  and a change on the wings with Surman taking up a left sided berth switching with Stephen Cooke.

Within three minutes a deep cross from the right side by Surman found Hart and as the ball fell for Hayter in the area Roche pulled off a point blank save to deny him.

Straight up the other end Wayne Allison had an even better chance. He turned six yards from goal and having done the hard work sent the ball wide of Stewart's right hand post.

Dani Rodrigues created a chance for himself on the quarter hour mark when he muscled through the Chesterfield defence and could have done better than to shoot over all be it under pressure.

Gareth Stewart made a good catch in the rain on eighteen when Colin Larkin's shot from twenty yards had its danger quelled by the Cherries stopper.

On twenty-seven minutes Larkin had better luck when the ball fell well for him just inside the area. His ball to Allison was sent back in his direction and he had time and space to run onto the ball and power in a first time shot across goal to give Chesterfield the lead.

Surman's curling effort from distance was then plucked from the air by Roche and Mark Allott attempted a dipping effort from a similar area of the pitch facing Stewart with the ball only just dipping over the bar.

With eight minutes remaining Marcus Browning gave the ball away in midfield and a disjointed attack where every bounce seem to fall to a blue shirt presented Larkin with another chance that flew over the top.

Half time: Chesterfield 1-0 AFC Bournemouth

Sean O'Driscoll made a change of formation at half time going three at the back and sacrificing full back Callum Hart for Stephen Foley who went to wing back with Cooke moving into the middle.

Chesterfield took eight minutes to double their advantage and it came from a mistake at the back. Larkin seized possession on the edge of the box and squared to Allison, who had as much time as Larkin had with the first goal to steer the ball into the back of the net.

It took until the hour mark for Bournemouth to work Roche and when they did Hayter's snap shot from Cooke's clever slid through ball was blocked by his legs like Hayter's chance in the first few minutes of the match.

On sixty-five minutes Roche made his best save of the match so far by diving down low and outstretching his left hand to keep out Surman's low effort that was looking to nestle into the bottom corner.

Chesterfield were provin a handful and substitute Folan was no exception in a strong run foward holding off Young before getting a shot away that the stand-in centre half managed to block and concede a corner from.

Steve Fletcher was soon testing Roche and had a header under pressure from two defenders saved having met Hayter's chipped cross.

It was all in vain though as Shane Nicholson sealed the points twelve minutes from time. Young conceded a free kick on the edge of the area and Nicholson curled a low effort round the wall firmly into the corner giving Stewart no chance.

Substitutes Smith and Folan then combined to make the best of the increasing space out on the park, but Stewart was well placed to make a good block.

Final Score: Chesterfield 3-0 AFC Bournemouth
