Alan Connell was over the moon with his first senior goal and more so with the three points. In reply to comments we've got from Sean O'Driscoll, he admitted that he wasn't yet fully match fit and the goal was a perfect way of re-paying the faith shown in him.

Sean O'Driscoll came out of the dressing room at the end of the Oxford draw and stated how pleased he was with the effort put in by his team, particularly Danny Thomas and Alan Connell; both making their first starts of the season. Connell ran his socks off for eighty minutes before having to come off through tiredness and Danny Thomas deservedly picked up the man of the match award.

Cherries manager Sean O'Driscoll described the first minute strike by James Wood as a "god-send" to Swansea and said how that start helped them considerably based on some accusations made in their previous game. O'Driscoll went on to give no complaints about Young's sending off and explained how the team needed to get into the game much earlier than in the last two games.

Sean O'Driscoll praised substitutes Wade Elliott and Alan Connell in his post match press conference following the 1-1 draw against Cambridge. He explained how the team had nothing to lose from that moment and how both players did extremely well to help the team come back for a point that at the end of the day, could have been three in the eyes of the manager and fans alike.
