Read 13.10.2002 Bournemouth have moved within a point of the leaders Hartlepool and Torquay with a win over the former this afternoon. Four wins in five with the league position makes the Cherries a team to beat at the moment, but O'Driscoll isn't concerned about the pressure. He's stated that's it's just nice to get away from all the negative pressure and that the wins are restoring belief amongst his players.
Read 06.10.2002 Sean O'Driscoll described the week's preparations for the win at Lincoln as a "one-off" when speaking to reporters after the win at Lincoln. The danger that Lincoln were going to pose was predictable, but required a very different approach to training. O'Driscoll described it as "not the way we would like to play", but paid tribute to the efforts rewarded by three more league points.
Read 29.09.2002 Sean O'Driscoll described the first half as poor as the team had played all season and was glad that the scores were still level at half time. He said that they needed some spark in the second half to get them going and that it came from kick-off. Once that came O'Driscoll said the team played like he knows they can.
Read 22.09.2002 Sean O'Driscoll went out of his way to commend the tactics adopted by Darlington manager Tommy Taylor following the 2-2 draw at Feethams. He wasn't the only one to tinker with the system though as O'Driscoll moved to a 4-4-3 at 1-1 in the second half and after the game insisted that settling for a point just wasn't an issue, hence the attacking manoeuvre.
Read 18.09.2002 Sean O'Driscoll paid special praise to Alan Connell after a resounding 3-1 victory against Rushden and Diamonds last night. He was particularly pleased with his non-stop running and also singled out Danny Thomas and Wade Elliott for the work rate put into the first home victory of the season.
Read 15.09.2002 Cherries manager Sean O'Driscoll praised the performance of his team against Bury and stated that Bournemouth controlled the game for the duration even when down to ten men. He went on to say how "two errors" cost the match and that despite the performance it is the results he's judged on.

Bournemouth were the better side and O'Driscoll took heart from that, but proclaimed that it doesn't matter anymore. He said it's now gone and that the Bury match is the most important thing at the moment; with or without a keeper intact!
Read 08.09.2002 Following the victory at Exeter Cherries chief Sean O'Driscoll spoke about how the work rate of the team was finally paying dividends and getting the results the team have deserved. He's adamant that the team can go places and is under no illusions that the work needs to continue.
Read 02.09.2002 Alan Connell was over the moon with his first senior goal and more so with the three points. In reply to comments we've got from Sean O'Driscoll, he admitted that he wasn't yet fully match fit and the goal was a perfect way of re-paying the faith shown in him.
Read 28.08.2002 Sean O'Driscoll came out of the dressing room at the end of the Oxford draw and stated how pleased he was with the effort put in by his team, particularly Danny Thomas and Alan Connell; both making their first starts of the season. Connell ran his socks off for eighty minutes before having to come off through tiredness and Danny Thomas deservedly picked up the man of the match award.
