Three clean sheets in a row now has played a part in Bournemouth regaining an automatic promotion place in Division Three. Manager Sean O'Driscoll was pleased with the defensive performance and said that The Cherries may have won it on another day with the chances created at the other end.

Bournemouth currently have games in hand on the team higher in the league and Sean O'Driscoll has insisted that draws aren't enough from the games in hand, starting Tuesday against Kidderminster. He said that every game is a cup final as the Cherries are playing catch up with twenty games to play.

Bournemouth went to Crewe last night and were matched against a similar team in terms of playing football and adopting a flowing passing game. O'Driscoll said that had the team lost the game, it would have been to a team trying to do exactly the same as Bournemouth, but doing it better so win or lose, there was always going to be something to learn from the match.

A crowd of over 6,200 enjoyed a six-goal thriller at The Fitness First Stadium yesterday, but left wandering how the goals were shared at three each. In spite of the result, the performance was a good one from Sean's players and he emphasised that in the post match press conference.

Peter Grant expressed his disappointment of the Boxing Day defeat against Oxford, but said that the players must bounce back with another game so quickly. He was disappointed with the lack of consistency shown by the referee and also said that with ten men, the Bournemouth players could have done the simple things a bit better to make the game a little easier.
