A second successive win for Bournemouth and both games began with different formations. Following the Sheffield Wednesday victory Sean O'Driscoll again stressed the need for his small squad to operate effectively as a flexible unit.
"If you don't shoot, you don't score" said Sean O'Driscoll after victory at Blackpool. Cherries have created a mass of chances this season and the philosophy worked against Blackpool. Sean also praised Purches and Moss for solid performances.
Sean O'Driscoll said that both sides looked tired towards the end of the match and talked about how the preparations for an earlier kick-off and change to the routine affected that. Sean also said the two teams cancelled each other out and played in a similar fashion.
Sean O'Driscoll was the first to admit that the Wrexham win didn't come with a grade A performance, but he praised the effort put in and the courage shown in the second half to do the right things and take control of the game.
Sean O'Driscoll made yet more tactical changes against Swindon to help Cherries gain a point from the game. He praised Stephen Purches on his man-marking job on Sammy Igoe and gave credit to his team for sticking to what they believed was the right way to play when behind in the match.
