- Bond On Blackpool Defeat
Kevin Bond labelled the Blackpool performance as unacceptable and said the side now must react in the right way against Northampton on Saturday.
Bond called the match the first poor performance in some time and was quick to stress the side had been playing well recently.
This is what he had to say following last night's defeat.
"It was disappointing. We've done well of late and all over Blackpool were sharper especially in the first half. They looked like they were up for the game more than we were.
"Their back two never gave our front two a sniff and their front two were all over our back two. They were more alert than we were, won individual battles and as a consequence we were on our back foot for most of the game.
"We changed it slightly in the second half, but it's always difficult coming from behind. We huffed and puffed late on, but it was too little too late after conceding a poor second goal.
"This is the first poor performance we've put in for a few weeks now. We know we're going to lose games at this end of the table, but it doesn't make it acceptable.
"It's disappointing for us and it must be even more so for the fans who have made the long trip up today. We've now got to react in the right way for Saturday. We can't lose sight of the fact we've done well of late."
