- Bond Upbeat Despite Loss
Kevin Bond was in an upbeat mood about his team's performance despite losing 2-0 against Yeovil last night.
Here is what Kevin had to say after the match:
"We had four or five unbelievable chances. If we take them the game is dead and buried. I'm absolutely gutted with the result, but I thought the lads played well.
"You've just got to keep doing it right in training and finding the back of the net. Bjarni had a glorious chance, McGoldrick had one, James Hayter had two and Pitman as well. We created far and away much better chances than they did.
"I'm not taking anything away from them as they took their chances and defended stoutly and they're a very good side.
"I don't see us as a side in disarray. I think we've done everything well aside from putting the ball in the back of the net, but we didn't make them pay.
"We played a side at the top of the league and for the most part of the game were the better side. We need to defend better when we have to and without doubt have to take our chances."
Neil Young played his 400th league match for the Cherries and Kevin commented, "He's a great lad. He's Bournemouth through and through, a credit to himself and an example to younger players. You don't see it often these days and 400 games for one club is a fantastic achievement."
