- Bond Pleased With New Signings
Cherries Manager Kevin Bond was pleased with the debuts of Simon Gillett and Matthew Connolly at the weekend.
Here is what Kevin had to say after the match:
"I thought Bradford worked really hard when they went down to ten men and made it extremely difficult for us. We created chances, but it just wasn't our day. A point away from home is never a bad point. I'd have preferred three, but it just wasn't to be.
"We kept the same shape after the sending off and tried to get a bit of width. Our wingbacks were our outlet, but we lacked a little bit guile out there today. But we got a clean sheet and it was pleasing to come away with from that perspective.
"I thought it was an awful awful tackle. I've always had a lot of time for Dean Windass as I think he's an exceptional player, but it was an awful challenge.
"I thought Simon Gillett did really well for us. He was everywhere on the field today, created a lot of situations for us and hit the post in the first half. Matthew Connolly looked more assured as the game went on. It was a big leap for them both and they looked accomplished."
