BondCherries Manager Kevin Bond admitted his was 'hugely disappointed' with last night's defeat, but praised Darren Anderton for his work-rate and attitude saying he provided a great example for others to follow.

Here is what Kevin had to say after the match:

"We're hugely disappointed but what we had out there was what we have available to us at this moment in time - apart from Big Fletch who didn't play but I couldn't afford to risk Fletch not being available Saturday.

"There's only us who can turn it around and we've got to try to involve as many players we can who can deal with the situation. If we can get a couple of players back from injury and bring a couple in it can make a world of difference.

"One or two of them didn't do enough and one or two of them aren't ready. We're not an athletic side, we just don't have athletic players and it hurts us. We lack experience in certain positions and we find it difficult not to concede a goal. You can't make players what they're not from a physique point of view so I don't think that's possible to.

"There were positives in as much as there will be a couple of people who won't be in my thoughts for Friday so that's made the picture clearer for me. You can gage idea on which players you can hang your hat on.

"You look at Darren Anderton for instance. In fairness to him he's 35, come down to Bournemouth, knows his limitations to do certain things on the football field, but he kept going, didn't give the ball away and tried his socks off and is a great example. I'd forgive anyone for anything if they showed that kind of spirit.

"The club is in a difficult position financially so we need to beg, borrow and steal to bring in a couple of influential players if we are able to that will hopefully make a difference. You've got to prioritise what you need against what you can get. I'd love to bring someone in by Friday, but I've got to be patient. After this week most clubs are playing Saturday-Saturday-Saturday rather than midweek games and that might make it easier for clubs to let one or two go."
