- Mixed Feelings For Roach
Co-caretaker manager Joe Roach gives his thoughts on Saturday's 2-2 draw at Huddersfield.
Joe on the game
It's the second away game we've had where we've let a lead slip. We've started well in the majority of games we've played and we haven't really taken advantage of that. We slowed the tempo down and allowed Huddersfield back into the game. They're quite an attack minded team so sometimes we struggled to get the ball out.
The players' resolve was there. They kept their character and determination and I think we got better as the second half went on. Darren has played a number of games in a short space of time and has been fantastic. Marcus brought us a bit of security in the middle, but we weren't going to sit on the game given how good Huddersfield are in attack.
Joe on Leon
Leon has listened to a few things Stuart and I have said. He's a young lad whose learning his trade and he's certainly brought players into the game more today. He was unfortunate not to score a second goal, but he's getting better and with a willingness to learn he'll continue getting better.
Joe on the job
It was an exciting opportunity for me. I've learned quite a lot and I've been pleased with the attitude of the players during this time. It's given me a bigger insight to what the position requires and when the new manager comes in I'll go back and do what I do. Stuart and I will keep preparing for the next game as we would until such time comes when an appointment is made. When we hand over we'll be handing over a good set of players and it's been a pleasure to work with them.
