- O'Kelly Thrilled with Forest Performance
Here are the comments of cherries coach Richard O'Kelly after Bournemouth earned League One safety at Nottingham Forest.
"The performance was magnificent. To come to a place like Nottingham Forest with 28,000 people here is tough. The atmosphere is red hot, the playing surface is superb, the things at stake are quite high and then for our young side to go out there and play as they did in the first half and then to take the lead in the second half in the manner that we did was awsome. We are over the moon at the lads, they did exceptionally well.
"Our game plan was to keep possession of the ball and attack them. It was well documented that we weren't pleased with the performance last week. There were people out there whose reputations as players were on the line because they hadn't performed last week. They answered that criticism and showed how they could play and what we are about.
"For most of the season Neil Young has been a rock at the back with his experience, his talking and cajoling with the young players. But we went out there with a back three of Karl Broadhurst who has been out for 14 months and playing his second game. Shaun Cooper is 22-years of age and is in his first full season of playing football and I thought he was outstanding. His technique on the ball, his range of passing and his composure was exceptional and then there was Adam Griffiths who is playing for a job and did really well."
