- O'Kelly on Barnsley draw
Marcus Browning's last minute injury in the warm up against Barnsley meant Cherries had to switch the midfield around and assistant manager Richard O'Kelly has praised the team for the way they dealt with the situation.
Cherries took to the field with substitute Steve Cooke starting on the right hand side when Marcus was withdrawn with a groin injury. Richard O'Kelly said, "I thought it was a wonderful team performance. With everything that went on today I thought everyone pulled together to show wonderful team spirit and pick up a result.
"We warmed up and Marcus felt a tightness in his groin. He carried on and wasn't quite sure about it. You've got to be positive and go in with a fully fit eleven when you can so we made the change and everyone knew their jobs.
"Sean works on different systems during the week and a lot of the players can play in more than one position. People can quickly move from one position to another and I think that showed. Cookie came in having thought he wouldn't start the game and I thought he was excellent."
Gareth Stewart made two superb saves in the first half and former Cherry Nick Colgan had to be alert to keep out a last minute Hayter chance. O'Kelly added, "I'd have been over the moon had that gone in. In the first half I thought we were the better side. In the second half Barnsley had more of the ball, applied a lot of pressure, but the back three coped tremendously.
"Gareth, Mossy and Stuart the goalkeeping coach are often out on Thursday afternoon's doing extra sessions. They've been doing sessions just like that and the two keepers have been egging each other on.
"From week to week the bottom of the table will fluctuate. The only thing we can worry about is our own results and what we do."
