- Sean on Brentford victory

Two contrasting styles of play in the two halfs saw Bournemouth take the points from Brentford.
Manager Sean O'Driscoll said, "I thought we were excellent. Some of our football first half was fantastic. We wiped the floor with them on that stage and we matched them blow for blow when it got a bit hairy and scary in the second half. We showed two sides to our character and it was a good start to the New Year."
"Some of our football was great in the first half and we matched them in the second and everybody dug in and tackled. We showed today that we can match people and I was always confident we could nick a goal on the break if needed."
"We had a great chance and Youngy's missed what's really an open goal to make it 3-0 and it could have been done and dusted by half time. The third goal was always going to change it, the weather changed and they got a goal back straight after half time."
"They threw caution to the wind, put a lot of balls into the box and I thought we defended stoutly as a team. We now travel to Doncaster and hope to keep that going. "
The game will be remembered for Steve Fletcher's hat-trick more than anything else and Sean added, "We've had a laugh in the changing rooms that we've got the quickest ever hat-trick in whatever time it was and Steve has been waiting years. He's getting some good natured ribbing from the rest of the lads."
"He knows he should score more and he's as good as anybody in the division if you can get him moving as he's attacking the ball. The third goal especially was a great finish with a great leap and flick just when we needed it."
