- Tactics nearly pulled it level

The introduction of Jason Tindall during the second half changed the game for the better for Bournemouth and it brought about a spell where the Cherries pulled a goal back and were unlucky for more. At the time the substitution was unpopular in the terraces and Sean spoke about the tactics behind the change and how it worked.
Sean said, "We can't ask anymore from the players. On another day we'd have scored a hatful. Peterborough defended manfully and the keeper has made the saves he's paid to make. I thought the players were committed in everything they tried to do and they've not been complacent in any way. We try to treat every game as more important than the next one. That is difficult, but despite the loss there are a lot of plusses."
"They went a goal up and had something to hang on to. They went two goals up and had the wide men tracking back all the way. That's football for you. In the third division we may have had enough to win the game, but the second division is a better league with better players. The three boys that came on all did their part to change the game. Jason, Brian and James have all come on and done well and we'll need that throughout the season."
"We've brought on Derek Holmes before and it gives us a different point of attack. Jason can also do that and he gave their back four a problem. It can be a bit predictable sometimes when it's route one to Fletch at times when we're chasing the game."
"To bring Jason on changed the point of attack and gives them more problems. It's a ploy that's worked for us in the past and in some sense has worked today in that we got a goal back. It's something we've worked on in training, but hopefully we won't have to use it too many times."
"Wade has to get crosses in and give the full backs problems. If he's not doing that we have to go down a different route. With two strikers out we haven't got that many options. Jason can do a job up front and once again the versatility of the squad has shone through. It put them on the back foot and we got a goal."
